K3 Award for Climate & Communication
In May of this year, I entered the ENERGIESPARKOMMISSAR for the K3 Award. In July, I then received the news that I had made it into the final eight out of 100 applicants.
In the end, however, it was not enough for a proper award. The reason: My fellow applicants were all established institutions, associations, cities, and organizations. I had the feeling that they were a little reluctant to give the award to an individual. But that doesn’t matter, because I was still invited and honored. The moderator Karel Mohn called it an “honor for his life’s work” in his moderation. WOW!
On the award ceremony certificate, it sounds a little less elevated as a “special mention“. But the most important thing is that my trip to Graz for the award ceremony was a wonderful experience. I met great people and am glad and grateful to have been part of it.
Next time, I will apply with the Heat Pump Knowledge Portal. But then I will have my project partners submit the application. Then we will win first prize. Guaranteed!
